Step 5: National Exam

Once you complete an approved assessment and gap training/bridging program you must register for the Canadian Midwifery Registration Exam (CMRE).  Your gap training or bridging program will provide you with the application form when you are eligible to write them exam. 

The Canadian Midwifery Registration Exam (CMRE) is a national written exam that will assess your knowledge of midwifery. You must pass the exam to be eligible to register with CMM.  Candidates who meet all other eligibility requirements may be eligible to register as an examination candidate while waiting to write the exam or while waiting for results.
