CMM will process your Application for Registration and will mail you the following:
In 1 week
- A receipt for your registration application fee
In 6 weeks
- A letter of acceptance indicating that you are registered as a midwife with CMM*
OR
- A decision letter that explains the reasons why you are NOT eligible for registration
- Information about your right to appeal the decision
*Supervised Practice
CMM can place conditions on your registration, such as supervised practice. Supervised practice means that you must work under the supervision of another registered midwife for a specified period of time. CMM current policy says a period of supervised practice is required if the midwife has never worked as a registered midwife in Canada. If applicable, CMM will meet with you to discuss the details of your supervised practice. Learn more>
